Second Bill of Rights

October 28, 2008

Further to what Reagan21 wrote below; Soon, “rich” will be $90,000 and we can all be equal.  There is no way we can afford this Second Bill of Rights. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), the woman who Joe the Plumber may run against, said this in Toledo, OH:

U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D. Toledo) whipped the crowd up before Mr. Obama took the stage yesterday telling them that America needed a Second Bill of Rights guaranteeing all Americans a job, health care, homes, an education, and a fair playing field for business and farmers.

1. GUARANTEED a job – this means either that the Government hires everyone into crap jobs or employers will be penalized for not hiring folk.

2. GUARANTEED health care – socialized medicine

3. GUARANTEED home – will break the bank

4. GUARANTEED education – this means college folks

5. GUARANTEED fair playing field – overegulation

Joe the Plumber better do his job in 2010 and get her out of office.

Another Day, Another Unearthed Socialism Speech from the One

October 28, 2008

Hotair has posted a talk from a spring 1996 meeting of the Chicago chapter of th Democratic Socialists of America, which today would be called mainstream libs. Enjoy:

Barack Obama observed that Martin Luther King’s March on Washington in the 1960s wasn’t simply about civil rights but demanded jobs as well. Now the issue is again coming to the front, but he wished the issue was on the Democratic agenda not just on [Pat] Buchanan’s.

One of the themes that has emerged in Barack Obama’s campaign is “what does it take to create productive communities”, not just consumptive communities. It is an issue that joins some of the best instincts of the conservatives with the better instincts of the left. He felt the state government has three constructive roles to play.

The first is “human capital development”. By this he meant public education, welfare reform, and a “workforce preparation strategy”. Public education requires equality in funding. It’s not that money is the only solution to public education’s problems but it’s a start toward a solution. The current proposals for welfare reform are intended to eliminate welfare but it’s also true that the status quo is not tenable. A true welfare system would provide for medical care, child care and job training. While Barack Obama did not use this term, it sounded very much like the “social wage” approach used by many social democratic labor parties. By “workforce preparation strategy”, Barack Obama simply meant a coordinated, purposeful program of job training instead of the ad hoc, fragmented approach used by the State of Illinois today.

The state government can also play a role in redistribution, the allocation of wages and jobs. As Barack Obama noted, when someone gets paid $10 million to eliminate 4,000 jobs, the voters in his district know this is an issue of power not economics. The government can use as tools labor law reform, public works and contracts.

Perhaps we will be invited to join the European Union despite our geographic handicap

The worst spin job of all time. By “redistribute” he meant “lowering the tax brackets on the middle class”.

October 27, 2008

Senator McCaskill has not yet been skilled in the spinning skills of the Jedi Masters…Yobama and Mace Bindu.  Over the past day or so a Youtube video surfaced where  The Messiah claimes there is a affirmative right in the Constitution that there should be economic fairness.  This right should be accomplished by the redistribution of wealth.  YIKES!!!.  See the post below.  Senator McCaskill has opened her big yapper in defense of The Great One .  She spins lies misrepresents the truth claims here in this video that what Obama meant by redistribution is middle class tax cuts.  Has anyone told the Senator that when spinning you cannot use an old talking point?  You must come up with a new talking point; i.e., Obama was only 40 yeas old when he said that, or that was a Pre-9/11 Obama…his views have since changed.

I wanted to see how Obama wiggles his way out of this one.  This is only the beginning.  My guess is he’ll stay silent, like he has for the past month, and just wait out the next 8 days.
